So, the idea that the above butt actually exists and is, I believe a product of “The Glute Guy” expertise was, and still is enticing. If you don’t know who the glute guy is – well he is someone who is obsessed with glutes. I’m still in the process of reading his 600+ pgs book but from what I can tell he is someone who majored in education, got his masters in math and ended up following his dream and fitness, more specifically his fascination with glutes (as a side note he is a NSCA strength & conditioning coach so he does know his stuff). I need to make this post fairly short due to time constraints so I can’t go into the importance of the glutes, studies, my professional observations, or personal experience right now. A more educational post will follow later, this is some quick mindless fluff/rant. So I purchased this book (not the wisest investment right now – a pure impulse move, online shopping is sooo…ugh…lets just say a fast way to lose a lot of money). But ANYWAYS I can tell he has really done his research and I have no doubt that the exercises work and I am so glad that he is here to share his passion and knowledge with us. I’m still trying to fine tune my lifestyle, which I am such is a ever evolving process. And I’m going in the wrong direction of losing weight…again.  Which if you know me, you know why it is a problem and why I am losing weight. And now I’m losing the little bit of curve that I have. Marianne from myomytv.com posted a before and after picture of her after doing Bret’s (the glute guy) workouts. Not only was the picture phenomenal (I mean has that ….dang factor). I was going to say “wow” factor but when I saw her butt – well I thought “dang” so thats what I wrote. A interesting sidenote is that she also posted her measurements and her chest size increased, but she does a lot of kettlebells and was experimenting with her diet so it could be due to something in that facet. I just thought it was interesting because  this stupid curve decrease is what sent me on a quest for “Bootylicious Workouts” in the first place. Honestly, I think that aside from the barbell hip thrust the best workout for the butt is sex. Yeah, I did just say this. In my exotic exercise: chair edition classes I use a lot of movements that involve small muscle groups. Because of the taboo that surrounds anything sexual I can’t post most of exercises here (well I could but I’m not dumb). I honestly look at it as working muscles that people forget about, a great workout, and free expression. But I am one of the few, I will write a post later explaining because I’m ranting again and I really do have to go. But the bottom line is I eagerly bought this book by The Glute Guy, only to find out I need a gym membership (I do understand how important resistance is though), and there’s not too many moves which are reminiscent in the ones that I occasionally do in my exotic exercise classes (which as participants will tell you is a one of a kind intense workout – no its not a flipping orgy and clothes do stay on).  I’m not saying his moves do not work its just that in testing the different glute exercises I don’t think that any in the world of exotic fitness entered his mind. I don’t have his fancy equipment but since I can’t afford a breast augmentation right now I am going to more faithfully start working on the only other curve I can get and do a rather impromptu/totally off the record study using myself as a subject. I can’t afford a gym membership right now and when I can I will try some of the Glute Guy’s machine exercises, until that I will read his book and improve my exotic exercise program. 5/23/2012. 35.7 – 28.5  -  35 (I’m not rounding because in my mind all numbers count). Ok, I posted this rant here as a way to hold myself accountable – even if my life is crazy I am going to commit. I will keep you posted…

P.S. Ok, so I know this post sounds like I am on something, I promise I’m not, I’m just moving a mile a minute and my ADHD + hectic life + overwhelmed + stress is really shining through..
